Gingersnaps

Gingersnaps (Nana's Recipe)

3/4 cup shortening
1 Cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger (ground)
1/2 tsp cloves (ground)

Preheat oven to 375*. Cream together first four ingredients. Mix and stir in dry ingredients gradually. Form dough into small balls (walnut size), roll in granulated sugar, and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. bake for 10 mins. (fridge or freeze extra dough :) )
